Dave, I am usually a tolerant and polite person, but your thickness is beginning to get to me.
The reason for subspecies is that if things are listed on the species level, then snakes found in CA, TX, or Mexico would be forbidden in KY, IL, NY, ME and so on and so forth.
These are frigging suggestions. 4 categories might work in one state, 3 in another, two in another.
Get a life, get a mind, stop trying to butt in, offering advice where you knowledge is not up to the task.
If you don't acknowledge subspecies, you aren't much of a biologist anyway.
