: Collecting one individual of an endangered species is raping. Knowing where populations are located is indeed very useful but can hardly be considered "knowing more" about the turtles than anybody else. I think Zappalorti has made some very important contirbutions to the herpetofauna of NJ. Why should anybody think less of me because of this. I would contend that Carl Lieb and Jerry Johnson are more knowledgeable about Texas herps and I have seen there work to prove it. What has John contributed.

Dave, it seems that you actually think that you know more about states and what happens in them than the people who have spent their lives there. As far as the N.J. guy being a rapist. I'm sure you have collected an endangered animal yourself. The only difference is that you have kissed a little of your states ass to be permitted to do so. Also, for every so called contribution that Zappalorti has made, here's a short story. The first albino n.pine snake was hatched out of wildcaughts found and collected in N.J. by state biologists. But because of the possible value of them back then it was kept quiet by him and others. As far as what contributions John has made. His name is listed in various publications for his contributions in them. Dave , your just hell bent on trying to make yourself look like your right about what you say and you actually beleive yourself too. As far as most here seem to feel is that you are a mountain of misinformation that is working on screwing REAL herpers over. Your head is so far up your own ass that your lookind out your own mouth. Give it up. You can't brainwash us into thinking like an jackass. You couldn't make scense if you had a pocket full of change. Steve
