: Where do alternas deposit their eggs? Where do the neonates forage? What do the neonates feed on? When does the mite parasitize subocularis? Where do Trimorphodon spend the winter? When do Sonora copulate? Do neonate Pituophis forage above ground? What did this guy in NJ know? How to collect a lot of bog turtles? I have yet to see his contributions. You are either a liar or the most uninformed person I have ever met.

Dave, get your facts straight before you question validity. The guy in N.J. gave them locality info. on bog turtles that increased the known habitats by at least 60%. Yes he broke laws which is very wrong. But at the same time the state had now aquired a wealth of information because of it. Also, this guy was not raping the colonies by any means. He had collected some and bought some legal ones and was raising offspring from them at the time he got nailed. After they were confiscated, they were given to a zoo and more than half of them had died off because they did not know how to keep them properly. After they realized that they knew absolutely nothing about keeping these turtles alive. The state gave him the turtles back to avoid anymore deathes and issued him a permit to keep the remaining turtles. And as far as Zappalorti ? LOL... If you think like him in the least, you deserve not one stitch of respect from anyone. Also,in defense of John who is a good friend of mine. He is as knowledgable about Texas herps as you can ever find. Who's side are you on? You seem to have an agenda. Steve
