I used a mix of sand and corn cobs for the substrate, I dusted the insects with D3 and calcium powder and they were lose in the cage and the UV lighting was placed over a wire tank topper. I'm leaning more to the idea that he may have ingested a corn cob while feeding. Thanks for all the info!
:If the specimen was swollen....what type of substrate do you use? How are your anoles fed? (in a dish or are the insects lose in the cage) And what type of uv lighting?

:someone on the WD forum had all these symptoms in one of her dragons...it turned out to be MBD, the cause:
:the uv lights were covered with that plastic that some people do not remove...and they were not getting enough d3...
:just two thoughts. I'm certainly not an expert :)
