Indeed. But the stress factor that I encountered when doing my regular cleaning was typically negligible. Any reptile's cage needs to be kept sanitary and clean. Unlike in the wild, things do not recycle and regrow. It's a captive environment with no true ecosystem, no homeostasis. Too many ailments and problems can be associated with unsanitary enclosures...
