If the specimen was swollen....what type of substrate do you use? How are your anoles fed? (in a dish or are the insects lose in the cage) And what type of uv lighting?
Could have been an impaction...or...
someone on the WD forum had all these symptoms in one of her dragons...it turned out to be MBD, the cause:
the uv lights were covered with that plastic that some people do not remove...and they were not getting enough d3...
just two thoughts. I'm certainly not an expert :)
