The other I went to a local "pet store" with my little brother. Our aim was to "rescue" a baby bearded dragon. I call it "rescuing," because I have yet to see ANY of my local pet stores giving ANY reptiles adequate habitats. Anyways, we ended up buying two baby beardies. While we were walking out I saw a very sad sight though. It was the most beautiful grown iguana i'd ever seen! Why is that sad you ask? He wasn't being taken care of :(. He had no light! All he had was a heat rock. No humidity either! I knew i was watching a beautiful iguana that was dying a slow, painful death. I talked to the people at the store and informed them of the iguana's needs. They seemed indifferent to its needs! I asked them about buying the igunana and they said they could give it up for around $80 bucks. The only problem is I already have an iguana and I dont have the space for another. Does anyone know of any groups or individuals that are willing to buy iguanas that are being maltreated? This may seem like a weird request, but this truly broke my heart! I have a great love for iguanas and i can't stand to see one living like that. And for no one at the store to even care! I appreciate any information anyone can give me. I know he's got some great years left in him!!(or her!!!)
