I KNOW THEY "SAY" IGUANAS EAT ONLY PLANT MATTER BUT........

If they are only supposed to eat plant matter why are there teeth sharp as hell and not dull? Is this for defense purposes because I was under the impression that iguanas don't have many predators in the wild besides us crazy humans!!!!! Let me know. I'd like to understand a little better
