Whatever. Find someone who cares to argue with you about this. Anyone here knows different, but of course you know all, right. Forget about facts and studies, because what you say to be true must be. Why is it so important for you to get people to feed their iguanas meat when it's so unnecessary? Go ahead, tell me about the 17 years blah blah blah, I'm into a good story.

: "I hope you're not implying that it's okay to feed animal protein to an iguana."
: Sure it is . As long as it is not a regular part of there daily diet . As with before show me ONE study that says small amounts of any type of animal protein causes any harm . You cant because there are none I know this because I read them . If it did harm then every iguana bought at a pet store is doomed because they are all feed animal protein by the breeders . Also any older iguana 5 years or more was likely to have some sort of animal protein as part of there diet . Keep in mind that until about 5 years ago MK herself insisted that green iguanas must have at least 5 percent of there diet made up with animal protein she recommended turkey ( cause it was low in fat ) and chicken .
: A good diet does not need to include ANY animal protein . Yes HIGH amounts can cause problems . Nobody who understands iguanas feeds animal protein any more . Iguanas feed a good varied diet have NO need for any animal protein in there diet .
