I never disputed that a little bit of animal protein wasn't okay. My point is that knowing that it in some amount(and nobody knows what that amount is), it can be harmful, if not deadly. So why would anyone want to take that chance? If they said only a little bit of the aids virus wasn't bad for you, but they weren't sure how much, would you accept a transfusion tainted only with a little bit of aids? After all, it won't kill you. My point is and always has been that it is pointless, and unnecessary. I don't feed any to my iguana, and I don't know of too many knowledgable iguana owners who do either. The only people I know of who still feed it to their iguanas are those who are uninformed.

For all you know some iguanas may not have an acceptable level of animal protein, and even a tiny bit may be a death sentence down the road. We know that at some point it kills them. We just don't know how much. I'm sure it varies with every iguana, and it's just not a risk i'm willing to take with mine.

I never said that any studies showed the exact amount needed to make an iguana sick. I simply said that studies show that it is harmful. That is a fact. Arsenic in small doses isn't poison, but i'm not eating it.

: Again you say I am wrong . I still do not see you posting one study to dispute what I said . Who is arguing ?You offer nothing to support your side . Anytime you post something implying that animal protein is instantly harmful then I will post a reply . Unless of course you wish to show me some hard data that shows me otherwise .
