Sure it is . As long as it is not a regular part of there daily diet . As with before show me ONE study that says small amounts of any type of animal protein causes any harm . You cant because there are none I know this because I read them . If it did harm then every iguana bought at a pet store is doomed because they are all feed animal protein by the breeders . Also any older iguana 5 years or more was likely to have some sort of animal protein as part of there diet . Keep in mind that until about 5 years ago MK herself insisted that green iguanas must have at least 5 percent of there diet made up with animal protein she recommended turkey ( cause it was low in fat ) and chicken .
A good diet does not need to include ANY animal protein . Yes HIGH amounts can cause problems . Nobody who understands iguanas feeds animal protein any more . Iguanas feed a good varied diet have NO need for any animal protein in there diet .
