I hope you're not implying that it's okay to feed animal protein to an iguana.

: if they are starving they will eat what they can find in the wild.I have a book about iguanas that says green iguanas eat pinkies(new born rats). There is a french site in Internet (www.multimania.com/fabti/nourriture.htm)that recommand to give small rats(souris) to green iguanas. The Malaysians recommend cooked chicken and eggs to juvies green iguanas.
: When I bought Godzilla, three years ago in a street pet market, in Jakarta(Indonesia), he was starving and he ate everything we gave to him.Even the 12 meat balls with ketchup my 6 years old daughter gave to him.The other day he was perfect, any health problems only a very light diarrhea.!!

: If they are only supposed to eat plant matter why are there teeth sharp as hell and not dull? Is this for defense purposes because I was under the impression that iguanas don't have many predators in the wild besides us crazy humans!!!!! Let me know. I'd like to understand a little better
