I NEED SOME REASSURANCE HERE!!!

I am sorry that I keep sending stupid question your way, but I just need some reassurance that my HOSS will be okay when he goes wild in the aquarium until his mouth bleeds from trying to avoid me picking him up!!!! I tried what everyone told me about grabbing him from behind, underneith, etc....but with an aquarium that is pretty hard to do!!!! Should I be holding him longer throughtout the day??? How long is a good time for handling??? Just tell me that I am not doing anything wrong or hurting HOSS and that he'll eventually trust me, but it's hard to see him bleeding everytime I am bout to get him out for bath, or cleaning and disinfecting!!!! Jeez before I was more worried about him whipping me with his little tail and biting, but now I am only worried about his bleeding!!!!
