If he does get loose, and you do finally catch him and place him back in his cage, and he appears to be agitated, you should leave the vicinity immediately. Some warning signs of being agitated are:
-breathing heavily
-tail whipping
-pyshical threats; such as arching his back, leaning towards you, or opening his mouth
-huddling in the corner of the cage in an odd position
-trying to get as far away from you as possible
-restlessness
Its important that you leave your iguana's sight ASAP if he shows these signs, because its showing that he is stressed out, and doesn't need to be streesed out anymore. After all, he DOES think you are trying to eat him. Good luck.
