"this person obviously has very little knowledge of this subject. I imagine that Gigi just went to a search engine, typed in "venomous snakes" and landed on this forum, which appeared to be a great place to begin and to get questions answered. There's nothing wrong with that."
>>> Fair enough. So answer the questions asked. I don't feel like it, and neither does Marty.
" My point is why talk down to someone and insult them when you could have spent the same amount of time typing and provided them with useful info and at the same time provided your opinion as well as to why you disagreed with what they proposed."
>>>. First of all, I didn't type the post in response, Marty did. So I can't answer for him. All I can say is that I didn't feel particularly responsible for providing answer to those questions either.
" Why take offense when none was intended and why make someone look elsewhere for information that can easily be provided here?"
>>> I don't think offense was taken. I think a pure lack of interest in providing answers that catered to such intent was evident.
"By the way, what about all the classified ads offering wild caught native species? Are you against this? Just curious."
>>> If someone wants a WC snake so bad, and will skip a simple search for CB offspring, they may as well go out and find them their selves. Think about it-- some greedy, selfish fool is going to go out and rape the hillsides to catch snakes they don't even care about just to make a buck off them from lazy "herpers". Do YOU feel comfortable supporting that?
I am not really thrilled with the needless exploitation of wild herps. From a purely natural standpoint, collecting large numbers of wild snakes for resale to the herp market has the same effect on native populations as those round ups.
So tell me, what do YOU stand for?
