Which do you prefer??

I've been reading some info on Igs. From what I understand there are two ways to tame. One is gently taking your time and the other Way is the "Who's the Boss" method. Personally I think the Taking you time Method would be nicer to the animal but I'm not expreienced with Igs. Which do you prefer? Which has better results? Just curious....
