Why is it so hard for you to believe that they cannot eat animal protein on a regular basis and stay healthy? It's a medically proven fact, i'm not pulling it out of my ass. 17 years and you still don't know that? I find it hard to believe you have any iguana that lived to be any more than 10 or 11 while consistantly feeding it animal protein routinely, but anythings possible I guess, but it'd be a fluke.

I have raised my oldest from the size of a dollar bill to 17 he died last year of natural causes ( I knew you would ask ) and I have been running a rescue for 17 years now . I have three left looking for homes . Iguanas are no longer legal for pet stores to sell here anymore so when these three are gone I am retired from the iguana care life .
