Come on now, don't pretend you don't know that i'm talking about feeding an iguana animal protein on a regular basis. BTW, the only iguana that eats animal protein would be a baby iguana eating the OCCASIONAL insect, and usually by accident, they prefer vegetable matter and leafy greens, since their digestive system cannot handle protein, therefore to feed it to them would be an injustice.

Why is it so hard for you to believe that they cannot eat animal protein on a regular basis and stay healthy? It's a medically proven fact, i'm not pulling it out of my ass. 17 years and you still don't know that? I find it hard to believe you have any iguana that lived to be any more than 10 or 11 while consistantly feeding it animal protein routinely, but anythings possible I guess, but it'd be a fluke.

John-Paul: "You provide me with a green iguana in the wild that does eat meat or animal protein."

: I would be happy to . I am going to Brazil for three weeks in June . You are welcome to join me I have been there many times and would love to show you around .

: "Do what you like with your own body, but don't make an iguana sick because you want to play the "prove me wrong card". All you need to do is go to any of the leading iguana sites on the net to find that animal protein is a big nono."

:
: Show me one iguana that died because it ate a bug or a piece of chicken or any vet that has seen one for that matter .

:
: "But I guess your experience trumps everyone else's, even those who've more experience on the subject, and i'm not talking about myself, although with your attitude, i'd be willing to bet you don't or won't ever experience an iguana over the age of 5 or 6. "

: Well of the people you seem to think have experience like MK yep I have much more experience . Ask Henry Lizard lover about me . If you want feel free to stop by . I have raised my oldest from the size of a dollar bill to 17 he died last year of natural causes ( I knew you would ask ) and I have been running a rescue for 17 years now . I have three left looking for homes . Iguanas are no longer legal for pet stores to sell here anymore so when these three are gone I am retired from the iguana care life .

: You should find out a little more about a person before you try to tell them what they dont know ..

: Travis
