I'll just say this:Just about everyone on this site would disagree with you on the animal protein issue, and I don't care how many rangers you talked to blah blah blah, it means jack when you only pay attention to what you want to.

I would like to know if there are any sites on the internet that have accurate information as far as you're concerned, because I can't find any that support animal protein for green iguanas. Maybe ten years ago they did, but not since they learned that it caused kidney failure, and since they don't know how much is too much, they don't recommend it. So, in conclusion, unless you have a degree having to do with iguanas, I don't think you know any more about iguanas than I do, so going to far off places that iguanas live means nothing when it's on vacation. The only way it would actually mean anything to me would be if you went there to research iguanas, which you obviously didn't.

So why is it that even you don't feed your iguanas animal protein in vast amounts, or even an equal amount to greens? If the answer is because it's not good for them, then why would you feed something that's not good for them in any amount? It just doesn't make sense.

On a related note, why don't you take a look at Dr. Adam Britan's website, and read what his outlook on animal protein is. He's someone with plenty of experience, and is also someone who has traveled to far off places specifically to research iguanas, so I take stock in what he says, but i'm sure you'll find flaws in even his argument. Here is his site:

John-Paul: "Look, i'm tired of argueing my point. Obviously you're not going to change your ways and i'm not going to change my opinion."

:
: Exactly my point. What you say is your opinion . My opinion is based on many years of hands on experience and watching these animals in my home and in there natural environment . Please tell how you arrived at your opinion . Exactly how long have you owned and cared for these animals ? How many have you seen in the wild ? How many rangers in south America have you talked to about these animals these are after all the people that deal with these animals every day ?

: I did not say what I said to start an argument . I was merely pointing out your mistake . If your are going to give advice tell the truth .

: Travis
