" unless you have a degree having to do with iguanas, I don't think you know any more about iguanas than I do, "
Then I ask again .
Please tell how you arrived at your opinion . Exactly how long have you owned and cared for these animals ?
As far as I know there is no degree in iguanas ??
" So why is it that even you don't feed your iguanas animal protein in vast amounts, "
Because I can structure a diet that gives them what they need without it .
All said and done you need to look at your statement that I responded to .
""" First, stop feeding your green iguanas chicken, because they cannot have any meat or animal protein whatsoever. Not even a tiny bit. NONE. """
This is NOT a true statement . You phrase this as though animal protein of any kind in any amount is a toxin this is simply untrue .
As for Adam Britton Ask him how long he was able to keep his iguana alive ? Do you not find it odd that both him and MK both with big sites offering all that information and neither of them are able to keep there own animals alive ? In the wild iguanas live to be around 7 on average depending on location . In a captive environment they can live well above 15 . So why is it neither of your " experts" was able to keep his alive ?
Quote from Adam Britton ..
" My overall conclusion to this is that no, we don't know it all. Far from it. However, everything that we do know so far tells us to be very cautious. I'm sure the odd bit of chicken, insect or whatever on very rare occasions will do the iguana no harm. "
Please note the word SURE .
