Look, i'm tired of argueing my point. Obviously you're not going to change your ways and i'm not going to change my opinion. I just don't think you should be promoting feeding animal protein to iguanas on an iguana forum. While a little may not be too bad for an iguana, it tells people that it's okay to feed and gives them the wrong impression. My iguanas do just fine without it and will likely live long lives because the lack of it. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on this subject.

I did not say anywhere that I feed any type of animal protein to any of my green iguanas . The fact is when I got Speedy I did feed him crickets with his greens every day for the first couple of years . That is what all the books said to do . I am telling you that you need to rephrase you answer . You answer should have said something like . Animal protein is not a good choice for feeding green iguanas large amounts can cause harm .

I am simply pointing out that animal protein in and of itself is not a toxin or immediate threat to an iguanas health . I do in fact agree that long term feeding of animal proteins can and does cause harm . I addition it is known that water intake has more to do with kidney failure then does the topic at hand .
