They may be wild animals but they aren't notoriously vicious or anything. They can't do any harm, except a little bite on the finger. ;-)
: My dad came over last night as we had double D out on her lead, my dad's first time ever being that close to an iggy and first time seeing Double d at all. Now since we have gotten her I have worked very hard to get her to allow me to touch any and all parts of her body without a fight, I can even wipe her mouth tip of her nose all around her mouth and NOT even get a head bob :o), all though i know shes still and "unpredictable animal" I am careful but I trust her and she trusts me. When she first came to us you couldnt walk to her without her doing tail lashes, hissing noise and head bobbing and dewlap extended. Last night she not only let my dad and brother pet her, let my dad HOLD her and didnt even tail whip. I told the story of her to my dad and he was FORUIOUSE then started talking baby talk to her saying he didnt know how any idiot could do something like that to someone as cute and sweet as she was. NOW IF my dad EVER starts talking about an iggy of his own I will tell him absolutly NO as hes not goood enough with animals to do so. It was just funny to see this harley riding tough guy (who ive had many problems with) loving up to this once ill eat you as soon as look at you turned calm cuddle me iggy :o).
