The whole point is that having an iguana around can be dangerous. It isn't always, and might not happen to you, but it IS A RISK. No need to argue on the petty points of things like where Salmonella exactly comes from and who does what killing.
Having any wild animal in your home, bred captivly or wild caught, is always a risk. Even having dogs is a small risk. Iguanas cerainly pose their own form of threats we all should keep in mind.
