selling baby igs

this may sound dumb, but have patientce, i am a new here.
I have noticed several posts asking people to sign things to petition pet stores to stop selling baby igs. We all know that this has a snowball's chance in hades of happening, so wouldn't it be better to petition them to be more informing to prospective ig owners of how igs really are? They could make alot of money selling the right stuff. How about signs on the petshop displays: "THIS ANIMAL WILL GROW TO BE 6 FEET LONG AND WILL LIVE AS LONG AS A DOG" When I bought my baby ig, i knew jack squat about iguanas, and the pet store didn't help much. still, I am gald I was able to buy my ig, although it would have been helpful to know that they live so long, are so expensive, and grow so big. Still, I have absolutley NO REGRETS. I would have just liked to be better prepared. It is a challenge, but I enjoy it.
One question-- Can igs be inbred, like dogs? I know the AKC has ruined several breeds of dogs, and I would hate to see iguanas suffer a similar fate. PEace-- Andy
