Whatever happens, If pet stores raise prices or actually start educating consumers, someone somewhere will find fault with it. I truly wish there was a eutopia in which every captive iguana could get the best care imaginable. The fact remains It isn't going to happen overnight, and possibly not at all despite many efforts to make it so. I recently had a conversation with someone who belongs to the Pittsburgh herp society, and she thinks you don't need to feed iguanas every day. She apparantly thought because she's a member of a herp society, she knows it all... I feel sorry for her iguana, I tried to tell her, she wouldn't listen. All you can do is hope your message will be heard and and to put to good use. Take the best possible care of your iguana, and continue to be educated. I am not the world's best iguana keeper, but I love my iguana, and do what I know is best for "her". I have Iguanas for Dummies, and read it everyday... I could go on and on, but you see, the only person who is going to make any kind of difference is you, by choosing to do the right thing, and by trying to educate others.
