Remember that Petsmart stopped selling iguanas after it was pointed out that they were irritating customers more than making them happy.
It is bad business, but managers aren't always borne.

Wildwood banned the selling of iguanas on the boardwalk after receiving enough complaints.

Bottom Line: Complain just like everyone else when stores don't do what you want. Don't shop at places that abuse their animals if you can help it and let the stores know what you think. If you have buying power, your opinion counts.
