salmonella drug

hi my 3 year old male iguana turned up positive for salmonella .hes been put on a drug called baytril for 3 weeks then hell go back to get 2nd fecal test to see if the drug killed the samonella. hes eating and very healthy the vet said he had diarrhea thats how i found out was worried he had parasites but his cage is very clean no substrate just vinyl floor covering and he poops in the bathtub. so i dont know how he got salmonella????? glad he went to the vet
