How do your Igs react to other pets?

A dying friend asked me to take in her ferret, which is a couple of years old, and I can't say no. I got my Ig, which is almost five months old, about a month ago and I don't know how he will like that. I plan to have the ferret set up in a cage in the living room and a part-time free-roamer through the kitchen and the living room. I let my Ig free-roam in the bedroom, although he sticks mostly to the desk. I don't know what will happen if these guys meet up. Will they go crazy and try to eat each other if they come in contact? Just wondering. Any suggestions? Thanks,
