There are several big colubrids that would probably be loved by most of the folks in this group. Although I've only read about them, I've heard the false water cobra is another big, intellegent snake that is very tolerant of handling. The spilotes species will probably be more popular as CB specimens become more readily available.
I think it has a lot to do with the fact that indigos are native to areas that are more familiar to most snake keepers. Easy access has made them easier to establish.
