hatchlings won't touch food for a while after birth. They absorb a yolk sack and then some time afterwards begin eating. Stress of a new environment is also going to detract from appetite. Be sure the tike has a few places to hide, and maybe some anachris (real cheap stuff) to hide in/climb on.
Then just offer some tiny worms and bugs like you are for a while. Enjoy him, but not for too long if you want to turn him loose.
