tameing my baby iguana

i have an baby iguana i have had it 2 weeks and it still seems afraid of me running from my hand what should i do how long is this going to take i try to pet him at least 2 times a day i move slow and i take my time i want it to be where hell come to my hand and where i can let him sit on my sholder and he can trust me . do i just keep on doing what i am doing cause it takes time for him to get used to me he does not bite or anything when i hold him when i hold him i pet him on the head he seems to like it cause he closes his eyes how do u pet one he runs from me when i try to catch him to pet him am i pushing itdo i need to give him more time do i need to have my hand in there more often ill aprechate any help he a bout 12 in long mabie a little more i love him and want him to like me too and i injoy keeping him plese e-mail soon thanx
