Hi Crisisue, I don't want to be an alarmist, but the only one I have heard of that had a strong desire to eat dirt, or I guess sand, was dying from renal failure. He was off food altogether and only wanted dirt. Unless someone can explain this behavior, I would get a fecal and blood work done. I also will mail the person this happened to and ask them to reply to your post. I hope it's nothing more than just being a silly Ig. Best of luck, Iguana03
