I mentioned Tuesday that may female Mel has never been gravid in the year I have had her.

She is 5 1/2 years old. She was fairly healthy when I got her, just needed some diet changes. The previous owners mentioned that their other iguana also a female had laid eggs, but Mel never had. I don't really know how long they had her.

I assumed that maybe with some diet changes she might lay eggs (not that I really want her to go through that). But like I said it has been a year and nothing. I haven't mentioned it to a vet because I just kept thinking if I waited it would happen. My last ig was a male so I don't have any experience with egg laying.

I am starting to get concerned now. I think I am going to have to take her in and get it checked.

It is odd. She is healthly, eating ok, seems fine, just no eggs.
