What do you tell people?....more

I always get asked, (which I am sure many of iguana owners do)
"What do you get out of owning an iguana. They always scratch up your arms, why do you like them"?
My answer, always is...."Why do you own a dog, or a cat"? My iguana is just as much of a pet/family member as my dogs and cats are". "They are very unique pets, with individual personalities, and yes they do have personalities." "And as far as the scratches go...well..that's just a "bonus"" ha ha. I went to the grocery store today and bought some fresh collards, spinach and romaine lettuce. The check-out girl said, "My, you sure eat healthy". I said, "No, those are for my iguana, the peanut butter cookies are for me"
