The only kind of de-anythinging I am for in animals is neutering or spaying of dogs and cats (esp. cats). This is only because there are already so many unwanted litters of puppies and kittens. These animals grow up on the street or get put to sleep because they don't have a home. Since I know tons of happy dogs and cats who have been spayed/neutered, I think it's a good idea. I would never want to remove an animals claws, teeth or vocal chords. :-/ Even if they can be annoying at times, these are vital body parts that the animal uses on a regular basis and will miss. :-(
