Free Roaming....

What do you all think of free roaming iggys? I was also thinking about letting mine live in my room. I have a few questions about it though. Do they usually make really big messes? Would they be aggressive towards other animals? My brother was telling me about his firends iggy. He has 2 that can go anywhere in the house they like, but they aren't the only ones free in the house they also have a ferret w/ them. I was extremly surprised by this, I mean I figured a ferret would go and try to attack the Iggys. What odd animal friends...
