I've gotten my once unruley ig into a sort of schedule. I'm not able to maintain an exact time, but morningish hours I always do a little hand feeding before I put the food in. When he's had enough of me feeding him, he closes his eyes and sort of leans in so I know to pet him then. I can't hold him yet (unless done sort of forcefully with a blanket), but he's doing SO much better! He thanks all of you for helping me. :) So here are some pictures I took today since I have the day off to play bymyself with him, no distractions. :)
To start, here is a sort of silly pic. Its not great quality, but the angle (I think) makes him look like he has bed head or something. :)
Nothing noteworthy, just my cute iguana being...cute! :)
Here's a full body pic, I do think he's grown, but not a whole lot. I'd really like to know how old he is.
Here's a head shot. He doesn't seem to mind me pointing the camera right at him, but he's got his eye on me. :)
Although this is really dark, I just love how he holds his head so high and proud. He's a big baby though. :)
This is that "pet me" face he gives me when I feed him. Sometimes if I get close to him he just closes his eyes and sort of leans in. Well, this is him doing that. :)
Just another shot.
He looks a little shocked here. I caught him off guard. ;)
And lastly, here's a close shot of his past toe injury. I'm about 99.9% sure that it has healed, but I still like to keep an eye on it to see if he uses it and that it doesn't look irritated or anything.
That's it. Now he's being lazy and laying in the "sun" after his mid day snack. :)
I do have a question for you guys, though. Do iguanas actually LIKE attention and to be petted and stuff, or do they just get used to it?
Thanks for looking.
Shanna
