Full Sprectrum Lights are the best way to go. Too much UVB can be potentially harmful to u and the lizard's eyes and skin. I read this in books and heard from other people I know.
Full Spectrums are 'allround' good. Some commercial ones should provide by now a good average amount of both uvb and uva rays.
Also, with summer coming up, u should think about building a LARGE outdoor enclosure. Natural sun lght is the best way to go whenever possible.
If u live in warm weather all year long, it's even better.
As for mushrooms, that's a first. I'm sure that if u cook them there shouldnt be any problems. Make sure they are edible, like the shetaki, portobello, or porcini mushrooms. Shetakis and portobellos are the cheaper/most common.
Hope this helps!
