Hi all. I was told that research has now found that one can catch salmonella (sp?) just from inhaling particles from an iguana's shedded skin. The article went on to say that even if you had a dedicated reptile room, the particles could be transmitted via your heating and cooling vents and spread throughout your home. I want to read the article myself to get the scoop, but I thought that I would post here and see if anyone else had heard or read this article. I thought that contact with the animal (feces) and then contact with your mouth was the main mode of transmission. Someone please shed some light on the subject. I will let you folks know if I read the article and where it was published. Thanks.
