I need some advice here. How often or how much time do you devote to helping your iguana with a shed?? Double D has been shedding like CRAZY since we got her. I noticed last night though that certain arreas of her body RARELY if EVER has shed. Her head, under her stomack and her tail. I do the daily baths, the soaks, IS there anything I can put on her skin to help OR is that MORE HARM THAN GOOD??. Last night I set or should say WE set and did skin work. She after her bath layed on my knee I rubbed my fingers GENTLY over her going with her scales as not to hurt her, then took a soft childs sock (it was the perfect size) and wetted it with warm water and rubbed it on her body scrubbign her JUST A TINY BIT (like youd do with a new born child). That seemed to bring up some of the shed thats been laying there. The underneat of her tail LOOKS like its got a layer or two built up on it, its like a white layers on her tail. ANY advice on how to do this? She loved being rubbed down so much that without the leash on (she outgrew hers LOL) she just layed on my knee her breathing was relaxed and when I would stop shed strech toward where the sock was at for me to keep doing it LOL.
