That is the question!! Lizzy's new enclosure will be in a room that has a lot of windows on two adjacent walls. The cage will be sitting in this corner. The other two walls open into the house. I thought she would like a panoramic view. It will be sitting in the middle of the room, not up against a wall. I would rather not use wood because either she won't be able to see outside, or we won't be able to enjoy her in the room. But I see the problem with the reflection. (However Lizzy voluntarily crawls up on my bed and sits in front of the mirror for hours. She bobs a while, then seems to enjoy the company!) Her current habitat is wood on all sides except the front, which has the plastic-mesh-screen whatever you call it stuff. That worked just fine until she became gravid. She clawed a hole big enough to climb through. Now she uses it as a foot hold so that she can climb to the top of the cage. I have also worried if she really stays warm enough with the screen. The temp averages between about 78-89 degrees. Would it help if I used wood on the two ends of the cage, but left plexiglass on the two big sides? I need to make up my mind soon because the builder is beginning to get put out with me. He's having to change his plan every time I get new info from you all! By the way, thanks for all of the continued input!
