On my website, I am working on an article called 10 Popular Herp Myths Dispelled. I have 6 so far, but I need some ideas... Anyone have a good one? Here are the ones I have so far:
- Snakes are invertebrates, they don't have any bones.
- A reptile must shed it's skin for it's body to be able to grow larger.
- Toads and frogs give you warts.
- Snakes unhinge their jaws to swallow prey larger than their head.
- Green iguanas (Iguana iguana) are omnivorous (eat both plant and animal matter) when young.
- It's okay to carve into your turtle's or tortoise's shell, it won't harm the reptile since the shell is hard.
