The other night I decided to feed him a leftover greenbean from the dinner table (cooked, that is. I don't feed them to him on a reg. basis, but I've noticed he loves cooked veggies so once in awhile I give a little as a treat) and he decided the bean was too short and tried my finger along with it.

It drew a little blood but nothing major. My mistake (just to help anyone else out there that might try the same thing) was reaching into his territory to hand feed him. He puffs up until he has a chance to smell what I'm feeding him and then when he realizes it may be something yummy, he practically lunges at it. Unfortunately my finger didn't get out of the way in time. What I *did* discover, however, is that when he's riding around on my shoulder and all calm and sweet, then It's easier to hand feed him things. He sniffs at it, licks it and then gently eats it. You can make up your own moral to this story. LOL So, enough rambling. Happy Herping everyone! J
