Garlic and other immune system boosters (musings)

Hey all!
This was something I have been mulling over in my head for a couple days
now, and I decided to see if anyone has thot of/heard of/tried this or
anything similar.
Now, we all know that certain vitamins and herbs (Vit C and garlic being
most prominent) act immune system boosters for our bodies. And nobody can
tell me that it's hogwash, because I take garlic everyday, and it works
wonders for my immune system, which is very poor without the boost. There
are other vitamins, some created specifically for boosting your immune
system. Now, here's my question:
Do you think (anyone, anyone) that these vitamins, plants, herbs and such
would be beneficial to our iguanas, as well? While I'm sure garlic doesn't
have a great ca:p ratio or anything else, would an iguana benefit from
occasional supplimentations of garlic in their diet? Do you suppose that
it would, in fact, make *their* immune systems stronger as well? Has
anyone tried this and/or read any literature concerned with it? What other
materials are considered immune boosters? (I'm talking about
organic/herbal/homeopathic sort of stuff here. This post isn't remotely
about prescription medicines.) Lastly, is there any good reason not to try
something like this with my own iguanas?
Food (no really, food!) for thought, at any rate.Best,
Jamie/JBug
