Don't think you're far off with your thoughts. After all some dog food is now putting stuff like this in it.

I've never read any research material done on GGI in the wild---don't know if its available for the average person to read. But I've asked before what plants they ate and I never got the names of them...just that they weren't here. One would think that if watched over a long period of time a pattern would emerge whereby the observer would note that when a GGI appeared to be sick they ate from a certain plant.

Have you read the posts by "gypsy woman" at IML re the wild iguanas there avoiding certain plants? She might have some insight into this thought you are projecting. Right now can't remember where she lives....believe it's an island.

I don't know that it would be harmful to use garlic but good luck trying to calculate how much to use *grin* You might want to offer a leaf of mint afterward---iggie's got garlic breath!! LOL Seriously, garlic comes in so many different forms beyond the cloves that there's bound to be something you can use easily/safely.

BTW "mulling" equals "pondering"...welcome to the club! *grin*
