Pro's and cons of wire mesh(plastic, metal, whatever) and should you use it?

Just want to hear from people that use it, used it in the past, and maybe
the one's that thought about using it! Good, bad, problems, injuries! Why you don't
use it or do use it! Heat is not a problem, I know some people don't use it because of
heating, but I can regulate the temp of the entire room I have, so it will not be a problem!
All other reasons would be a great deciding factor! Thanks once again for your time!
