For myself I found metal and wire mesh did not work, the reason being is when Spazzy got hyper she would often slip down the wire and on occasion
rip a toenail off, no matter how many logs and climbing aids I had for her she insisted on climbing up the cage.... I have now gone to plexiglass and wood and find the toenails are no longer being torn or damaged. The only issues I have so far with plexiglass is the real big sneezes (Don't need to go into detail here) :O)

: use it or do use it! Heat is not a problem, I know some people don't use it because of
: heating, but I can regulate the temp of the entire room I have, so it will not be a problem!
