Update on my Iggie

Hi,thayght I would let you know how my Iggie is doing.He is eating on his own.NO more romaine lettace.I replaced that with parsnips,squash,little grated carrots and strawberries,melon.I feed him twice daily.Removing whatever is leftover from previous meal.His feces is a pure white,not runny.A bit of texture.He has his uv light,heat lamp,and a fan if it cools down much.The Reptile vet gave me a bird vit[Prime]for him.I have powdered calciun and liquid as well.I give the vit twice weekly.Is this ok?No mistakes this time.God gave me another chance with him,I will not blow it.He must of practised on using his tail.His aim is perfect.I think he had dental work done also while he was on vacation.Is there a substrate I can use that will give more humidity inside his cage?I thaught about peat moss but that will mould.Iggie is really dark.Why?Thanks so much for your help.
