Alta....sounds like he is hungry! Some things about the foods your giving him..only good thing I noticed was the squash....Im sorry ..your iguana needs dark leafy greens (not romaine or lettuces, not spinach)...ah nutts...here's a link to some foods for your iguana..ya may want to print it out...good foods are high in calcium...high fiber...low phosphorus,
low in crap like oxalates, phytates, purines, goitrogens...you'll get the hang of it! Just takes a little reading on it. Multi vitamins good 2-3 xs a week or however your vet told you. Calcium supplements *everyday* since there was some question about MBD previously.
RE: Humidity...I would not use wood shaving, bark, chips of any kind with an iguana. To increase humidity...depending on size of cage simply putting a humidifier in there as few hours (3) per day....or a cat litter pan half-filled with water...or bowls of water or sponges wet & strategically placed, or misting system (garden supply) or spray water bottle & misting your ig down a few times a day..is enought to keep the humidity at 60-100% 3 hours per day essential for giant green iguanas. Keep a humidity gauge in the enclosure near iguanas favorite basking/hangout spot.
Good to see some prayers get answered. Happy to see he's back!
