Last spring a friend of mine (South Carolina) was out flippin' tin, when he found a Black Racer eating a CANEBRAKE!!! So I see no reason why a Kingsnake would refuse a meal of Cottonmouth, regardless of the subspecies. If the cottonmouth is small enough to be swallowed, I expect the King would be having piscivorus for dinner. The few times I have seen video evidence of Kingsnake predation on rattlesnakes, the rattlers don't bite the king. They try to flee, and if they get caught, they are dead. I expect the Kingsnake would not typically inhabit the wet environment frequented by the Cottonmouth, so incidents where the two might meet would probably be fewer and further between than the contact between Kings and rattlesnakes in the west.... just a thought.
