: Reptilian behavior is one of the least studied facets of these fascinating creatures, and probably my favorite subject. Gaylon, would you please go ahead and post the recommended reading list so that we can all enjoy and appreciate it?

: PS - I would love to see your gabby wandering the backyard one of these days, that sounds like a lot of fun.

I am going to be in the field for a few days and, upon my return on Sunday, I shall post a list of reading recommendations to the forum.

B. gabonica locomotion is so incredible in its own right and to observe the animal explore the outdoors undisturbed is simply fascinating. I have done this with other terrestrial species as well and the time spent is always rewarding. I really believe it gives one a better "feel" for working with the animals and addressing their captivity needs to a higher degree.

Now, if I could only figure out how to enclose my yard with an aerial barrier, I could observe my boomslangs sail through the trees!

Regards,

-Holmes
