I am going to be in the field for a few days and, upon my return on Sunday, I shall post a list of reading recommendations to the forum.
B. gabonica locomotion is so incredible in its own right and to observe the animal explore the outdoors undisturbed is simply fascinating. I have done this with other terrestrial species as well and the time spent is always rewarding. I really believe it gives one a better "feel" for working with the animals and addressing their captivity needs to a higher degree.
Now, if I could only figure out how to enclose my yard with an aerial barrier, I could observe my boomslangs sail through the trees!
